Summer Placement

Peacock Technology was pleased to host Kenneth from St Mungo's High School in Falkirk on a Nuffield summer placement. The Nuffield scheme is aimed at 5th year school students interested in a career in engineering and technology.

During his placement with Peacock Technology, Kenneth worked with our team to design, develop and build a machine vision lighting system. The system incorporated high intensity LED lights with an interface that can be triggered by a camera or PLC. During Kenneth's placement he worked with different members of our team on Electronics design, PCB layout, mechanical design and software engineering. As well as working on his own project, Kenneth got involved in prototype builds and at a robot installation.

Kenneth's enthusiasm for engineering has been infectious and has reminded us all of why we chose an engineering profession. The team at Peacock Technology wishes Kenneth every success in his studies.

Work Experience Placement

Since Kenneth's placement with our team, we have been pleased to host Amy Douglas from Dunblane High School on a work experience week. Amy helped populate a surface mount PCB and ran tests on some of our current projects. We were very impressed with Amy's professional attitude and her aptitude for Electronic Engineering.
